Happy holidays from Guangzhou, China!
Christmas is a time for family, and for loving thy neighbor as thyself. So that makes this my favorite holiday after Valentine’s Day (not surprising for a relationship coach).
Because a lot of what we do at Kowalke Coaching pulls from relationship wisdom that is thousands of years old, I’m reminded of something an old monk once said that really epitomizes the season.
The monk said there isn’t good and evil, there’s just wholesomeness and unwholesomeness. Anything that brings you together with others is wholesome, anything that separates you is unwholesome. This is a simple but profound way to know how to act in the world no matter what the situation — and it is a great starting point for having a good relationship with your spouse.
So during this holiday season, make it a time for family. But make it time for the LARGER family — a season of giving to all of those around you. Love thy neighbor as thyself.
I recorded a short Christmas video for you while I was in China. Click the video above.
Season’s greetings, and happy holidays!
